Insight-oriented, relational therapy in Philadelphia
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist based in Philadelphia. My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic and relational traditions.
Psychodynamic therapy comes from a long tradition of insight-oriented work. In practice, this means listening for patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and exploring the unconscious processes that may shape them. Together, we may look at how early experiences, relationships, and social pressures have influenced the beliefs you hold about yourself and others. Our past leaves traces in the present, shaping how we experience ourselves and how we connect with people in our lives.
The relational aspect of therapy is equally important to me. The therapeutic relationship itself can be a meaningful space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. Within that relationship, we can explore patterns as they emerge and experiment with new ways of relating—to yourself and to others.
Therapy can be both challenging and deeply rewarding. I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
I have experience working with adults on a myriad of issues, including stress and burnout, relationship concerns, life changes, anxiety, depression, recovering from trauma, and grief. I have experience working with those coming into new identities and understandings of themselves, including LGBTQIA+ or exploring new relationship structures.
Individual Psychotherapy
I am especially passionate about helping social workers in healthcare settings deepen their clinical skills to bring to that work, or transition to roles in psychotherapy. I believe that healthcare workers have so much to offer in the role of psychotherapy. I would love to work with medical social workers working toward their licensure or building a psychotherapy practice. Together we can deepen therapeutic practice, especially through the lenses of psychodynamic, relational, and attachment theory, while also incorporating social justice and feminist understandings of the world.
Individual Clinicia Supervision
I offer group supervision for 3-6 individuals seeking psychodynamic and relationally informed supervision. Groups are bi-weekly for one hour and meet supervision requirements for working towards your LCSW or other clinical licensure.
