Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I am located in center city Philadelphia at 1518 Walnut Street. I am also available for virtual appointments.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance and I am considered an out of network provider. This means that you will be responsible for the payment of sessions. I accept cards, mobile patments, or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). I am available to assist with out of network reimbursement. This process would include providing you with an invoice (or “super bill” in insurance speak). If you qualify, your insurance companies will then reimburse you for some percentage of the costs. Additional information on how to talk with your insurance is here.

Is psychotherapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential. Any information you share with me is considered protected health information. There are rare exceptions to confidentiality that are related to safety, which we will discuss more in detail during our intake session.

How often will we meet?

Typically therapy takes place weekly, and sessions are between 50-55 minutes. We can discuss if you prefer a more or less frequent cadence.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is beneficial to meet consistently. However, some situations are unavoidable. If you need to cancel a session, I ask that you reach out with as much advance notice as possible. In the case of an appointment being cancelled with less than 24 hour notice, you will be charged the full cost of the session.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions cost $150. I also offer sliding scale rate for those who qualify, I am more than happy to discuss this with you.
